Not planning any applications for a while.  I was thinking of trying to get a mortgage back in February but I decided to rent and work on my credit for a while.  I can definitely keep doing what I am doing, if you think the score will rise over time.  Thanks marinevet

But also work on getting those negatives removed. I think that's definitely worth the time and effort.

Re: Question...

Ryan, check out the BK boards - they have a guide to cards that you can get with lower credit scores called "BK friendly cards".  What I recommend is avoiding cards with annual fees - there's probably some that will take you with your current scores.  Another good resource is whogavemecredit.com, but try to look for the most recent info.

Starting Score: EQ 583 TU04 619 EX 592 (lender pull) 2010
Previous High Score: EQ 700 TU04 712 EX 726
Current Score: EQ 740 TU(Discover) 750 EX(AMEX) 747
Goal Score: 740+ all around
