In my one and only experience with a Consumer Rights Attorney,it didn't cost me anything.

As I said,if you choose your  Cons.Rights Atty carefully, they may handle your case for free.

From what I learned, if your case involves an offender (CCC, CA, merchant, etc.) they will

work your case for free because they wish to build a file of consumer complaints against them

Which then becomes a major class action suit at a later date.       Word of caution;  choose your

consumer advocate wisely.   YMMV.

I'm doing this for all of Kroger 123 cardholders who's account got acquired by US Bank.  It is unjust to report inaccurate information about one's account to the CRAs.  It may seem small to some that the dates are not correct, but to others it affects their AAoAs and etc etc.

Re: RBS/Kroger and US Bank Mess

Here's another update from US Bank.  They have concluded that my account isn't mine.  I am flabbergasted.

Re: RBS/Kroger and US Bank Mess

okay - that's crazy!

eta:  Are you responding back with your name, account , yada-yada-yada?

Where on earth are they losing track of you? It looks like you logged into your account, and contacted them via the website?

I've had uber good experiences with USBank.  Well, wait a minute, years ago we had some mixups with our checking accounts (more than one), and so did DS.  We almost closed them at one point.  But they always got them fixed and promptly.  Haven't had anything like this - SO frustrating, DI!  Please keep us posted.

The account had already been verified that it was mines.  The person who responded obviously failed to read the original email that was sent via US Bank secured email system.

I agree, DI.  This 'new' account is listed  2nd 'hurting my score' on MYFICO report....."account opened too  recently".

When all this started last fall, US Bank assured me also that the dates would  reflect the original RSB opening date.  When it did indeed report as a new card, I contacted US Bank  and was again assured it would be corrected.   This has not been the case.

Kroger reports as 'closed' and USbank is shown as new account with a 10/10 open date.

I'm so glad I saw this post as it's prompted me to resume my fight with them, also.

And I'm more than a litte concerned after seeing their response about not recognizing you as account holder!  Scary!!

Re: RBS/Kroger and US Bank Mess

Mine is still reporting wrong, too.

If they don't fix it soon, perhaps a "small class" (4 or 5 people) action would be in order.
