RC Willey

Who does RC Willey bank with? Are they also GEMB? I understand they use several issuers but I don't know who.

Re: RC Willey

Hi... I opened up an RC Willey account two weeks ago.  I went to the store's
credit department in back and I asked the lady if they go through any certain
bank and she said they carry their own financing.  Reluctantly, I applied
(knowing that my lower scores would probably mean a quick denial).  To my
surprise, they called me back up to the counter about 30 minutes later and
said I was approved.  They printed up my card and activated my account
right then.  If it had been GEMB related, I wouldn't have gotten approved...
they don't like me, and neither does CITI or Chase.. the other two that seem to
back furniture/store/gas cards.

Any way, long story short, good luck to you!

Re: RC Willey

Thank you very much for the response. Now I have to ask the usual questions. May I ask your FICO scores? What kind of credit limit did you get and what kind of interest did you get?
I was very surprised this weekend when I found out that they have some of the most reasonable furniture prices around and a great selection. I'm on a re-modeling bender but I have zero balance on credit cards (boy it feels great to be able to say that) and I can pay cash but I think RC Willey is the best of their kind of store and an account with them could be very helpful...or harmful depending on how ya see it. LOL

Oh, edited to include:
I'm looking to replace my entire master bedroom. I just finished the living room last Saturday.

Re: RC Willey

The other good news about RC Willey is that they are a merchant lender (store credit) - not consumer financing (a FICO no-no) like some furniture stores.

Gotta love 'em!
