I can't help it lol. I've been watching How I Met Your Mother lately hahaha
Hmmmm. Nah.
5% on REI purchases... that could be nice, if one shopped at REI a lot.
2% on groceries... sounds tasty, but with the 1.75, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2% on general card offers, 2% on groceries only isn't that exciting.
Rewards are paid out annually... oh, this puts the nail in the coffin for me. Even if I can convince US Bank to look past my ARS and IDA reports to open the account, they have so long to pay out the rewards that for all I know they'll close the account before they have to pay out.
I'll pass for now.
BTW I just got my new MC (it was a Visa earlier).
The bad: they won't give me the WMC. CL is $5k.
The good (or, average-ish): $40 bonus GC if you spend $2k in 2 months outside REI. So combined with 2X groceries points, if I spent all on groceries, it's a nice 4X. Now, what should I buy? Hmm.
Adds 2% to your earnings over 2 months. Not bad i suppose, although I'm not terribly excited to shop REI. Ill pass.

Thanks for the info on CLI's, etc. I just got the card. I've been cash only since getting divorced and closing all accounts in 2012 so I'm getting a few cards to help start bringing my score back up.
I'm a REI member and buy a lot there so am used to waiting until the end of the year to get my 10% dividend back. No big deal waiting on the additional 5%. Pretty nice to see a few hundred dollars credit sitting in my member account.
The common offer I'm seeing is a gift card of non-specific value, and the 2% groceries goes through 3/31/2016 only.
I can get the same terms with the setup I use on my US Bank Cash+ card:
2% groceries on the basic category
Include "Sporting Goods Stores" as one of the 5% categories.
and better yet, if I'm not buying anything at REI that quarter, use the 5% category for something else.
so, No, not needing this card.
i hike and camp a lot. would definitely be interested.
anyone who has this card care to provide their approval stats and pulled bureau? only one entry in last two years on the credit pull database.
I go thtis offer in the mail about a week ago. I do have an REI account but don't shop there that often. Not interested in the card at this time.
