Hi all-
Are there any other secured cards besides cap 1 that you can add more to the deposit as time goes on?
Thank you!
There are several that do. Do you belong to a local CU or bank? They often do.
I bank with cap 1, so that's not an option! Ha ha!
USAA / NFCU both come to mind if you have a military affilation.
I believe SDFCU does though I'm not entirely positive on that. I haven't asked DCU yet if they do, that's something I should do actually .
I'm certain there's others and hopefully people will chime in. You don't really need to pull this trick with more than one lender, though the cap on the Cap One card is 3k I believe.
Wells Fargo will let you.
I am a vet and have a full USAA account. Will they allow me to keep adding deposis with the secured card?
Wells fargo is great and you can add up to $9K total and when you increase the limit the credit pull if there is one is a soft pull.My first credit card since rebuilding and after 6-12 months they usually offer to make the card unsecured.Over all a great company and their services are in my opinion why they must be thought of as a prime credit card.Btw,they turned my card into a cash back bonus card and I get better perks than many unsecured cards.I like how they build a personal relationship with their customers. They are a huge nationwide bank but the personal way they approach you makes them feel more like a bank boutique type place.I plan to keep them even years down the road.Oh btw, today they ask me if I wanted to increase my limit and to change to unsecured.I said no because I wanted today's PIF to register to my account. Will come back maybe next month and try for the unsecured with better credit increase.

Yes, as long as you're a full member (sounds like it!) the secured product there is fantastic.
Low interest rate (9.9%).
Ability to add funds at any time, $50 (I think) at a time, up to $5k. The limit will grow with each deposit.
You also earn interest on your CD which is awesome... Way faster than their savings accounts. I think the current rate is about .69%
The AF is low, $39/year
Ability to choose MasterCard, American Express, or both (I have both!).
My ONLY gripe is that they will not unsecure the card after 2 years. But you can always renew it or apply for a new one.

Yes you can add deposits at any time in $50 increments.
Yeah the first time I called to activate the card, one of the options was to increase the limit
