Can you redeem points for cash back? I know with CSP points are worth more if you travel but I just want to know if it's even an option to redeem for cash back. What is the point rate then? 2X points for Arrival Plus but what if the points are redeemed differently. Thanks!
arrival and arrival+, you only get half the value if redeemed for cash back, like 20k would be worth 200 bucks for traveling, but only 100 bucks as regular cash back.
If you're talking about Barclay Rewards, then you can exchange points for statement credits. You need a minimum of 1,000 points in order to do that. It's 1 cent to a point, so if you have 5,000 points, that'll get you $50 statement credit.

Sallie mae too 1:1
Do remember some of the categories kicked rewards in at 5:1 rate before you cashed it 1:1 (it already had the benefit of the higher reward).
As the others have intimated, it's 1cpp when redeeming on travel-related purchases, and 1/2 cpp when redeeming on other purchases.
Also, perhaps a helpful hint. If you convert your card to another Barclay product that redeems 1:1 (e.g. the Barclay Rewards card), your points will transfer to the new account, where you can then redeem them for 1cpp instead of 1/2 cpp. This can be particularly useful, for example, if you've had the Arrival+ for a year, you've amassed a bunch of points getting 2% cashback wherever, you want to cancel the card before the annual fee kicks in and you don't have enough travel-related expenses to redeem out all of your rewards. No sweat. Rather than cash out what's left at 1/2 cpp, just call and convert your Arrival+ to a fee-free card like the Barclay Rewards, then once you get that card you can cash out your points at 1:1 without needing travel-related expenses. Of course, you won't get the 10% bonus on travel redemptions, but it's better than losing half the value of the points, or (IMO) having to pay an annual fee.
Chris.
Nixon - true but you earned the points at a higher rate while many of the other cards are at 2:1, 3:1 and so on... the partner transfer rate, travel and more sometimes works to enhance the earning at a higher rate but they were earned at the lower rate to start with which means it is more fun to figure the best option for the various scenarios. Confusing? USAA has a USAA AX with groceries and gas at earnings of 2:1 but if you redeem for cash with less than 10,000 points the redemption is a 0.45% (way less than the 1:1). Keeps us on our toes. You are on track with the point about 1:1 however I was pointing out (maybe not as clearly as would have been nice) that the earnings rate was higher before the transfer so more points existed to be transferred unless there were point conversion enhancements...
