Re: Rebuilding credit - Apply for Chase Freedom or AmEx Blue Cash?

The only other one I am considering right now is the Citi Platinum Select AAdvantage World MasterCard since I travel a fair amount for work, often on American. If I've been approved for Chase Freedom at $2K CL and AmEX BCE at $2.5K CL, should I apply and would I likely be approved for the Citi card? Don't want to waste an inquiry if it is unlikely, and I'm done for the year after this one.

Congrats on the cards - AMEX will really grow with you as you have probably read.  I got AMEX with a $2K CL.  61 days later I called the automated line and was increaed to $6K.  Six months later it was $18K and six months later $25K (the highest the automated line will allow you to request).  Hoping some of my other cards will match that soon. . .

Re: Rebuilding credit - Apply for Chase Freedom or AmEx Blue Cash?

Instant approval with initial CL of $5K! Woohoo! $10K in additional credit with prime cards. I can't wait to build up my history with these and get rid of my Cap1.

I know I'll take an initial hit with the new accounts and inquiries, but I'm hoping it will be well worth it in the longer run Smiley Happy
