Re: Rec'd Targeted AmEx Blue Sky Offer

I have also received this offer but my credit karma score is fair (690). What are the odds of getting approved. I don't want an enquiry if its not going to be approved.

I'm not an expert on this topic, but 690 might be a little low. Try searching this forum. This website is also useful: http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?autocom=creditpulls

If the 690 were a FICO I'd think it just fine, problem is CK scores are so over the map as compared to FICO, mine tracks 70 points lower than my FICO '08 models, and 40 points lower than my EQ '04.

Skyzen: if you're curious, pull a legit FICO and see, otherwise if you can afford the inquiry (i.e. don't have any major purchases vis a vis mortgage coming up) and your report is pretty clean (call it under 20% reported usage) can always simply take the shot.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I got approved instantly with a credit limit of $2500. Already spent $400 in 1st month.
