My (slightly more than 4 hours, but not as many as 5) response:
Dear Mauve,
I would like to thank you for the kind words you have
expressed about Chase and the services we gladly provide
to you.
I am pleased to advise you that Chase reviews your account
and performance periodically, which may result in an
automatic credit line increase. When this happens, this
review is considered a "soft inquiry,"and does not impact
your credit report negatively. If you proactively request
a credit line increase, then this constitutes a "hard
inquiry." These types of inquiries may affect your credit
score.
It has been a pleasure to clarify this for you today.
Enjoy the rest of your day! If you have any further
questions, please reply using the Secure Message Center.
Thank you,

The CL this morning: A Cool $10,000.
They approved the double CLI!!! By the way, I called the recon number at 877-781-3109 but they transferred me. I don't know the number that the transferred to.
Again, thanks myFICO. My scores used to be a mess--literally an absolute mess! Have patience and with time and good history you too will go from NO WAY, to Yes of course!
Congrats!
Wow!!! That's impressive! Congrats!!!!!
Thanks. And, by the way, just saw that they pulled EX, surprising because I was sure they would pull EQ (I'm in CT). First Bank USA did the originial pull when I opened the account, and they pulled EQ. The pull on EX was from Chase Bank N.A.
I have no idea what my EX FICO is, but it is consistently the highest FAKO by a lot! So, it could very well be in the mid 800's!
I used the backdoor number from Chase after requesting a CLI 1k->2k that was immediately denied. I looked on the forums and found the backdoor number and called the next morning, and, voila!, CLI granted. I've learned alot from these forums and feel that i'm able to manage my credit much more effectively.

Congrats! Chase tends to be the most difficult of the majors for CLI. NIce work!!
