So about a month ago, I applied for the US Bank Cash+. I was told I was approved but only for the Cash Rewards with a $1500 limit. I got my card in the mail about a week later, called to activate it, and asked about PC'ing and they said wait about 6 months after steady use. But today I go out to get the mail, and to my complete surprise, opened up an envelope with a US Bank Cash+ in it! Immediately I called to activate, but as I was, I noticed that it had the exact same account number, and security code on the back as my Cash Rewards card. I called customer support and spoke to a CSR and told her the situation. She told me yes 2 cards were showing up as being sent out and double checked to see if I had a 2nd account floating out there. But she said I didn't, and the only card showing on my account was the US Bank Cash+, and told me to destroy my Cash Rewards card. After hearing that, I had to double check to make sure I could sign up for my 2% and 5% rewards and sure enough I was able to! I have no idea how this happened, but to all the people trying to get this card, apparently there's some flexibility...or room for mistakes.
That's good! Is it a signature version?
what a great holiday-time surprise
Congratulations, that's an awesome X-mas gift from U.S. Bank to you, isn't it? And because they did it that way, you've avoided another hard pull. Hooray!!!!
