Received pre-approval for Discover. Applied and Denied. should I recon?

My EQ is 624 and TU is 690.  EQ has 6 inq and TU has 2, they pulled EQ.  How do I recon, what do I say?


Starting Score: EX649/EQ637/TU611
Current Score: EX649/EQ637/TU620
Goal Score: 750+ ALL 3 by December 2012

They are sending them out everywhere at the moment. My wife & I both got one & were already with Discover.

I think your scores are too low for discover but you never know. They tend to pull EX or EQ.

Look in the backdoor number tread for the recon

They said too many inquiries and I had 2 30 day lates from Feb/mar 2011 from when I was deployed.   I've never  done a recon before, Do I just call and ask to be   reconsidered?

YES...just tell them that. You have a good reason and they should be able take care of you especially since you went and fought for us!

+1 i agree with this poster also, explain your inquiries and tell discover about your deployment, discover is open 24/7 so you can speak with a credit analyst and if your TU score is actually at 690 I would ask to have that credit reported pulled if it was not already, good luck!!!

Recon. My EQ was 628 and I was approved.

Starting Score: 492 02/12
Current Score: TU: 668 (FICO), EQ: 668 (FICO). EX: 651(lender pull 9/27/12)
Goal Score: 660
