Likewise, I cut up credit cards with which I was dissatisfied.
Dillards Store Card - $150 limit.
Credit One - $400 limit.
HSBC refused to reopen my Discover card after the non-English-as-a-first-language rep closed it when I said I was thinking about cancelling since I couldn't get a CLI. I had a "superior" usage history according to them, never late either, but they wouldn't budge. I miss having a Discover card already.
I decided to not do business with HSBC anymore and called to cancel my platinum Mastercard as well, but was offered a minor CLI to keep it. Since I have a balance on that card I decided to let it make friends with my dresser drawer until it's paid.
The following cards remain:
Hooters - $500 limit, $36 AF (ew).
Carnival Sea Miles - $500 limit.
Cap1 MC - $1800 limit.
Cap1 Visa - $1000 limit.
Wal Mart store card - $500 limit.
HSBC MC - $700 limit, $59 AF (ew).
Think any of those guys will give a nice CLI?
I really wanted the Wal Mart Discover, but got sent the store card instead. It might get cancelled next if it serves no real purpose.
