Reminder to apply: Imagine where 30,000 Starpoints can take you

So, I received the invitation from AMEX to apply for the SPG card back in early August and now AMEX sent me a "reminder" email. I wonder if this means I'm pre-qualified?

I've received offers to apply for the green, gold, PRG, Delta Gold, and Blue Sky cards in the past, but never did I receive a "reminder" email to apply before the deadline. Did anyone else get this email too and successfully get the card?

Lots of us got the email...no, it is NOT a pre approval...you are "invited to apply".

I'm nowhere NEAR Amex yet, and I got the email.
