Removing AMEX AU

Since I have my own AMEX cards now, is it safe to remove myself from my sisters AMEX? The only reason I want to stop being an AU is because of her util, it has gone up this month and it is affecting me :/ Will my date with them still remain 1998? And for future cards as well?

Is her AMEX a charge card or credit card ? Charge card balances aren't included in FICO® revolving utilization. If your member since date shows that year then you should be ok ~ dropping as an Additional cardmember won't affect you.

It's a revolver, that's why it's affecting me. I have member since 1998, they backdated me, I just don't want to lose that backdate if I remove myself as an AU :smileyhappy:

Ok, gotcha. Once your member since date is established, it shouldn't change, even if the card that set the date is closed or you're removed as an additional cardmember.
