Removing AMEX AU

Since I have my own AMEX cards now, is it safe to remove myself from my sisters AMEX? The only reason I want to stop being an AU is because of her util, it has gone up this month and it is affecting me :/ Will my date with them still remain 1998? And for future cards as well?

Re: Removing AMEX AU

Is her AMEX a charge card or credit card ? Charge card balances aren't included in FICO® revolving utilization. If your member since date shows that year then you should be ok ~ dropping as an Additional cardmember won't affect you.

It's a revolver, that's why it's affecting me. I have member since 1998, they backdated me, I just don't want to lose that backdate if I remove myself as an AU Smiley Happy

Ok, gotcha. Once your member since date is established, it shouldn't change, even if the card that set the date is closed or you're removed as an additional cardmember.
