Removing yourself as Authorized User - Is this a good idea

Greetings Community,

My husband recently removed himself from our joint CC on the advice of a mortgage lender.   Was this a bad idea?  I think so, because his overall CC utilization may increase.  This is the only card that is paid off in his credit profile.

Any insight would be great.

Thanks!

No way of knowing whether it was a bad idea without knowing all the details about the account such as age of account and the credit limit,  and his overall credit profile.  His utilization may increase but whether it will cause him problems is impossible to know without further information.
