Reporting dates

Hi, would like to know when do credit card companies report. If possible, please list your cc and date when it gets reported.

Re: Reporting dates

Everyones dates will be different

But most companies report 2-5 days after statement cuts

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I'll try and explain it better

You make a charge Dec 1 depending on the terms of your card it could be 20,25,30 day grace period

A statement will cut based on that grace period....

When that statment cuts/what you owe....

2-5 days later that is reported to the CB's

At that point the due day on your statement need to be paid by.....such and such date

But the balance due has already been reported to CB before you paid

Re: Reporting dates

I always thought that the balance at balance due date is what gets reported 2-5 days later but i was wrong than. Could you please explain when it gets reported in my case if possible.

My Cap1 balance due date is on 12.09 so every 9th of the month. Statement grace period is 25 days.

Correct not sure were your getting lost in the translation

But yes when you see balance due that is the amount that gets reported to the CB's

Re: Reporting dates

myjourney i think i get it now. So based on what Fico2Go wrote, my statement will be posted on the 12th and due balance will be reported on the 14th.

Fico2Go how do you find out that it gets reported 2 days later after the statement is posted? I didn;t check with Cap1 but I called my other credit card, BoA and they didn't want to disclose the exact date.

Re: Reporting dates

I dont know if this helps my credit card has a statement cut of date was on 11/25 and my payment date is 12/22.Whatever my balance is as of 11/25 will be reported on my credit report. so if you want to pay in full I make sure I pay my balance before the 25th of every month to get that balance reflected on my credit report. Hope this helps.
