Reward Thresholds-when to redeem

Now that I have reward cards, I was wondering what are some good point totals to aim for before redeeming them? I'm not looking for $50 gift certificates or other overpriced small items. (I know this will depend on the card so post any card you have so it would benefit others as well.)

NFCU Flagship rewards. 12k pts
Zync. (Ill get higher tier charge before redeeming). 19k pts
Chase UR (again, ill redeem after I get CSP). 18k pts
Chase Amazon 6.6k
Amex delta 55k miles

Re: Reward Thresholds-when to redeem

If it's cash, it doesn't really matter.  Unless you prefer to wait for a higher amount because you're worried you'll spend the lower amount on something frivolous.

If it's something like Chase UR points, or Amex MR points, I prefer to redeem for business/first class airfare.  So I wait untill I have at least 100K points or there is a transfer bonus that will get me to 100K miles.

Re: Reward Thresholds-when to redeem

For the next month or so, US Bank Cash Plus gives an additional $25 when redeeming $100.  This is rumored to change to just once a year.
