SDing cards and letting it report with $0 balance?

The only card that ever gave me issues with not reporting when inactive was VS which is Comenity. Lately it has been reporting but last year, it didn't when I let it sit for about 5 months.

Just to add a DP to this, my Discover it card never cut a statement during the one month I never used it. Not sure if this is common or not, but just know that this might happen.
