How long should you expect the age of a card to affect your scores....I am saying age as years...My average age is only a 1 year but I have 5 accounts that have been opened up within a year...My oldest account is only 4 years and 7 months...My question is how long will it affects my score...I don't think I am applying for anymore cards for at least 5 years...Smiley Very Happy My UTIL is right at 5% with 5 CC.

I think 5 years moves you into "good" age.  In 5 years you should have an average age of about 5.5 years.

I get about 2 points every 6 months for age if that helps for my total average age of accounts. Besides that 5 and 10 years for your oldest account I think give you another bump too.
If we never set higher goals we would never get as far.
