SP or HP?

I have an AMEX Green Card and applied for the Delta Skymiles today and was denied.  I have read somewhere that if you are a current customer and apply for another card thru Amex that it is a SP unless you are approved and then it is a HP.  Just wanted to see if anyone else had heard this.  Thx for your replies.

I will be in the garden till at least 10/14. I need to let my accounts age as I have added quite a few in the past few months.

It was a SP for the denial .......sorry you didn't get it

Welcome to the forum

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: SP or HP?

Thank you.  Yeah, I think I was denied due to many inquiries.  Went on a little bit of a spree the last two months.

You will get a letter with score and reason for denial...so you will know what you need to do to increase your chances of approval next time

Re: SP or HP?

Yeah, I am just glad that the most recent inquiry is a SP.

That's one of the options that makes Amex great to have the others are

SP CLI's and backdating
