SPG x Uber Partnership = More Starpoints in Your Pocket?

Hey guys. I just received news that SPG has engaged in a partnership with Uber. To make things simple, if you have an Amex SPG card, you can receive bonus Starpoints for using it to pay for Uber fares during a Starwood stay.

Preferred: 2 Starpoints per $ spend with Uber

Gold, Platinum: 3 Starpoints per $ spend with Uber

Platinum 75+: 4 Starpoints per $ spend with Uber

Yup. Uber shows up as travel.

It's not really a "partnership." It's how Uber is coded - it's their code, so any card that gives you extra points for travel will have the same bonus for Uber.

It will be great to earn 2 UR points & 1 - 2 Starpoints depeding if I'm staying at one of their properties for $1 spent on Uber
