SUCCESS!! Juniper Reversed CLD!!

So yesterday I noticed that one of my two Juniper Cards fell victim to a CLD decrease - reduced to $2000 from $3000.  This is even though I keep a low balance, pay more than the minimum every month, never go over my limit, etc. etc.  Not understanding the reason, I called the backdoor number (Thank you Sylvia!!)  first thing this morning and asked the credit specialist why I received a CLD.  She put me on hold for a minute, than came back on the phone and said "the reason for your cld was the computer reviewed your account and noticed that the biggest balance you have had with this card is $1525.00 so it adjusted your cl to $2000."  "however, we did a soft pull and see that you have excellent history with us, so I moved your cl back to $3000."

 

I then asked what looks better on my account, to pay in full or leave a small balance?  The rep said "it always looks best to pay in full with us",

 

Moral of the story...This backdoor number worked for me and hopefully it will work for others.

I had my CLD last Thursday by $450, less than a week after I transfered $2500 to Discover.

Called today and the nice representative asked a couple of questions about income, told me that she will have to check my credit then right after I asked if it was going to be a hard or soft pull, she had already pulled it. She told me it was a hard pull.

 

Anyways, she gave me back the original CL. She also said she will remove the inquiry.

She did mention that due to the current economic conditions,Juniper is trying to stay out of trouble by decreasing CL to the highest CL used on the card.

 

I was very satisfied with that answer.

 

Unlike AMEX, that penalize and CLD card holders for credit imperfections that is old and about to fall off their credit reports.
