@Desmoire wrote:I was approved for BCE!! I don't know what my limit is however, it didn't mention that. I asked for them to text me an approval message so we will see if it's included in that. Awesomeness!
Congrats!! Since they already HP'd, you should go for another one. That's what I did after reading it here and got approved for the PRG and Amex Ed.

@Anonymous wrote:I was approved last night for a BCP with an EX of 702 (or 698, I'm not sure) I was only given a $1000 SL, which is fine for me and what I plan to use it for, but I'd keep that in mind. I also have 4 new accounts withing the last month and was at about 36% UT overall for what has been reported. (some of the new cards are not on my report yet)
BCP has an annual fee. Are they more likely to approve a card with an annual fee? I would certainly prefer no annual fee...
@I believe they both require similar credit to get. I also believe the reason for the AF is the increased rewards on the BCP. Basically, figure out if you would earn $75/yr. more with the extra percentages between the cards. I plan to only use mine for groceries and gas when it's not covered by my Disco or Chase, so I expect to hit the max of $6000 (So, BCE would yield $180 @ 3% and the BCP would be $360. Even with the AF it yields $105 more)
In addition, I have heard of people getting the BCP and PCing it to a BCE before the AF hits if they didn't use it as much as they planned. YMMV
edit: Whoops, late to the party. Congrats on the approval! I didn't see my limit until I set up the online account. I was given a link from the approval page and I believe I also got one via email.
Congrats on your approval!!!!
What were the reasons they rejected you? 750+ score even on capital one credit tracker is surely good enough to get any credit card you want. I am inclined to think you are on Amex's black list from a past derog even if that doesn't show up on your credit reports.
Edit: oops! Congrats on your approval
Very nice. Gratz on approval. Login to your account to see the limit. DO IT NOW!!!!

Holy cow, a limit of $15,000!! This is literally blowing my mind as the highest limit I have on a card was $5000. Talk about generousity from AMEX! I can't imagine why I would ever need to do the 3x CLI trick..
