SallieMae MasterCard Question

Yesterday I was instantly approved for the SallieMae Mastercard but the platinum version

I really wanted the World MasterCard. After reading a lot of other posts, I see people are saying that you can not recon a platinum to world with barclays?

Is that after you have had the card or can you recon a platinum to world before you activate the card?

I think you would need to apply again in the future in hopes of getting a 5k+ limit for world. Otherwise i think its hard to get it upgraded. I dont think it would make a difference if the card was activated mainly because you were already approved, you could try recon and see if you could get the limit up so it can be upgraded possibly. Otherwise wait a bit and apply again.
