So. I somehow missed my due date on my Sams Club MC. It was due the 23rd and I paid it last night. I usually pay this account in full each month and made a payment on the 28th of Feb to pay off not remembering this was a leap year. So some charges went through on the 29th and resulted in a payment due the 23rd. Somehow managed to not realize this till I was already late. My fault for not looking online sometime this month.
I have five accounts with synch. Sams Club MC 4000, Walmart 6000, Paypal 3500 (just got letter this is being upgraded to MC), Belk, 8000, and Lowes 17000.
So, my question is will I have to worry about AA and/or future chances of CLI's with my synchrony cards
Probably... Your internal score with them is ding by this late payment. But I'd ring them if I were you to see what they say.
Don't worry! usually they take action until it's actually 30 days late after due date . I had a 30 days late two years ago, and they decreased my limits on almost all my sync accounts, but still got cli's 6 months after. And ask them if they could waive the late fee if its your first time.
If you paid 5 days late, even 20, the other creditors won't know. It won't report late until it is 30 days past due. It may hurt you for their internal scoring.
Hopefully i'll be good, I've had the account since 2005.
I know it won't hurt me with other creditors or my fico scores. But, This is definately not a normal thing for me. And I Just don't want it to hurt me in the future with Synch, my score should be in the low 700's by mid year and I want to ask for a cpl cli's on my accounts.
So if I call them and beg forgiveness and ask for the late fee to be removed should I call the number on the back of the card or credit solutions
went on chat online and got fee waived. Hopefully we won't have any leap year problems next time. lol
