Sams Discover -> MC = New TL?

For those that have it, did when the Sams Discover was converted to Mastercard, what changes happened to your credit report?

Did the Discover card number simply become a Mastercard number, with the original account opening date?

Did the old Discover card stay on the report, and a new Mastercard appear?  If so, did it retain the old opening date, or was the MC account opening date 2014?

I didn't really notice much change with the conversion.  Back in June they updated everything from GECRB to SYNCB and changed the DC listed to Dual Card.  I got the MC a few weeks ago and haven't seen anything adverse with the switchover on any of my CR's.
