Savings with PSECU

This is not the usual kind of discussion, but I thought I would ask since there are quite a few PSECU members on here. Like most, I only joined for the free EXP score, but now I want to open a savings account with a credit union. Is it advisable for me to save my money with them, or should I go with a CU that is closer to me physically? Thanks

Current Score: MyCreditKeeper - EX:635 EQ:654 TU:667; PSECU EX:651; Walmart TU:657

Re: Savings with PSECU

If you are eligible for membership, you must have a DDA to get the FICO. They arent local to me (nearest branch is mybe 80 miles), I set up ACH transfers from my main to PSECU.

Re: Savings with PSECU

I only have the $6 membership fee and I've been getting the FICO score. What I'm asking is if I should save with them ( i live in Madison, WI) or is it better to find a credit union that is close to me?

Sorry, posting from work on my phone. Fico with nothing else is a bonus, why not throw them some savings? The only thing about distance banking is immediate access to cash can be a hassle. I wouldnt worry too much about it as long as the rate is decent.

I save my money with them and it's working out very nicely!! Easy tranfers from my external accounts to it!

+1 - I throw $100 per month at my savings with them. It is easy to move money back and forth. They are giving me a FICO score so why not?
