Just had my 6th statement cut with my Sears card. Was wondering when a good time to ask for a CLI from Sears is and if it is a HP or SP?
Sears isn't backed by Discover anymore?

No, there are 2 lenders, Citi and HSBC (Cap One0
I don't think it would hurt to call for and ask for a CLI. Be sure if it is a HP or a SP if it concerns you.

I hate Sears. Last time I shopped there, their card was backed by Discover...guess it's been awhile. LOL.

I hate them too, haha. They are one of my parent's oldest cards though, so I have heard a lot about them. I have never actually been in one by my own free will.

I bought some appliances there for the new house. Everything went well, got the card so I figure no reason not to grow it. Just dont want to take a HP for it.
I haven't requested CLIs since my account is only a month old, but from what I was told they will HP unless it is an auto CLI (SP if it is). They even HP when I added my wife as an AU and the CSR told me that removing and adding a new AU will result in a new HP so beware.
Citi is always HP when customer requests it on all their cards, not just cobranded
