Secured Card to Unsecured? Citi Double Cash or Citi Diamond Preferred?

Hey fico family. I got 2 questions

Question 1: If my secured card were to "graduate' and or turn into a unsecured card, would I still keep the date the secured card was made and keep the age on it in my credit reports?

Question 2: Do you guys prefer the Citi Double Cash or Citi Diamond Preferred? Just overall opinions. If you had to choose between these 2.

Please do not get the diamond preferred.  There are basically no rewards on it; meanwhile, the double cash is one of the pack leaders for daily-use rewards cards.  Get the Double Cash if you can.

My votes go  to  the Double Cash as well. I just PCd my AAdvantage card to the DC and wait for this card to arrive.  This card saves me the app for Fidelity Amex 😉
