Secured Card ?

Quick question, Would it be a good idea to put 3000 on my secured card ( Orchard ) ?  Im going to app for a prime card soon  and want to do everything i can to get my foot in the door and get a decent CL.

IMO, Yes.        

I had 2 secured cards(Cap1 $2500, HSBC $1000) and applied for unsecured card with both.    Cap1 gave me $3000 CL, Household gave me $500 CL   Cap 1 CSR told me the $2500 deposit was key in getting a good limit.    

Depending on the lender it may not help, but it can not hurt.
