Security Freeze question

Since I'm done apping, I went ahead and froze all 3 bureau.

Can this have a negative impact on any of my cards?

Can the creditor still soft my report? If not, will that tick them off?

Re: Security Freeze question

I've had my EQ and EX  frozen since Feb...  I meant to freeze TU, but I had an issue getting it to freeze.  Amex can still soft me, and Chase and Discover have been softing me.

No issues there.

Re: Security Freeze question

Any card issuer you have relationship with can soft or hard your credit report, but I find their systems tend to be not able to hard your credit report with a security freeze on.

Re: Security Freeze question

It blocks unwanted HPs... for example, when Discover tried to HP me when I called to ask for a CLI

I wouldn't always depend on it blocking HPs with card companies that you currently hold (ie are a customer of).  They have the right to HP you without permission.  But as webhopper's example shows that most credit card companies systems respect the security freeze even if they have the right to pull.

Re: Security Freeze question

If they have a permissable purpose then yes that would be fine. Trying to solicit me for additional products is not a permissible purpose.
