It is my USAA MC, which still has been actively using since 1998 (the 1st one in my signature).
My Citibank Dividend card that I first got almost 8 years ago when I was still in college. Went from the student version with a $500 CL all the way up to World Elite with a $50,000 CL. Luckily for me, it's actually a decent card and still sees some use with the 5% categories.
My first credit card was my wal mart card, but since it's a store card, I opened my usaa card the next day. They are both still open, though it has barely been a year....still no discover offer at wal mart...
My C1 platinum mastercard (Now a Quicksilver Card) slowly getting to the point where it's not a joke of a card anymore but still a long way to go.
JP
My UNFCU CC with limit of $500 back in 2001. First card before moving here. Been with me all these years through tough times and still carry $500 limit.
I don't really have any attachment to my first card since I had to mail a check to pay it, so I didn't use it often. I do however have an attachment to my Amex BCE. After 5 years and 3 attempts to get in with them, It was my "I've finally made it to the big leagues card". I actually tried to get in with them in 2008 (before I had any credit, I know, funny, right? Like someone with no credit could get in with them? Well, young and dumb is all I can say), 2012 with 4 years of credit history (only on Equifax) and was declined, and finally in 2013, a year after I got my BB&T card.
My Military Star Card was my first "credit" account at $600, even if it was just a store card. But my USAA Mastercard is my sentimental card. USAA allowed me to get my foot in the door with a low limit of $200 lol.
My first card was a US bank card they got me to apply for when I opened my checking acct once I got it and saw it had an annual fee I cancelled it. It actually reported to all three credit reports . It was my oldest acct sadly it fell off a few months ago.
Yes, my Capital One Platinum Mastercard which was upgraded to the Venture card. I obtained this card in 2004 after my chapter 13. Went from $1,500 to $10,000 at a slow rate but I refuse to close it even though I hardly ever use it.

I have no attachment to the first card that helped me rebuild - it was a secured card. I do however have an attachment to my Zync. I knew on my way well out of rebuilding my credit when I was approved for my Zync. I had to apply twice before I was approved. Even though AMEX no longer offers the Zync and they got rid of Packs - I will forever keep that card. With the Sync program I justify the $25 AF. And as strange as it sounds they Zync is just PRETTY
Hey When Zync first came out I got so many looks with that card and some even thought it was a new more exclusive then black card because I believe Amex issues a "Diamond" card in another country that is the US Black card... I really don't understand why they cancelled the card and program... they need to bring it back!
I do get asked about my card from time to time, people wonder if it is new or think it is exclusive. Technically it is exclusive... to those who were able to snag one. I confirmed with a CSR that even when my card expires in 2016 I'll be able to get a replacement/renewal at that point. I love that! I appreciate that AMEX will honor my desire to keep the card. It's so pretty .
