Sept 2006 - Last time I applied for a credit card!

Doesn't the 0% interest come at a price, though? Usually, you get about $2000 in up-front rebates on the car if you don't use the 0%. With what I have seen in the car ads, it seems the wisest thing to do is just paying for the card in full (especially if you're financially comfortable).

I MAY be tempted later this year though, as the wife is looking at a new car. We could pay for it but the Ford dealer keeps telling me he can get us 36 Months at 0% INTEREST, so honestly, the intelligent thing to do would be to finance it under those terms and keep our money earning interest those three years.  Guess it will just depend on what is offered at that time.

Yes, I agree thats usually the case. What we will be looking at are a couple of things. Like a NEW 2010 versus a 2011. The local dealer tells usthe 2011 Models will actually be priced LOWER then last year. As I stated, it will just depend on what is offered at the time we decide to do it. If it makes more sense economically to just pay for it, we certainly will.
