Re: Shell Gas Card

Noticed something today. Stopped at a Shell so DS could use the rest room. Didn't need gas, but I always check out prices.

$2.79 a gallon

Washington state is pricier than some so that number might shock a few of y'all. I've been paying $2.55 to $2.63 a gallon hereof late.

Looks like Shell around here might be ratejacking a little to help "offset" the $25 gift certificate.

Re: Shell Gas Card

I remember as a teenager in Hawaii, paying 70 cents a gallon, and mad because it was in the high 40's on the Mainland.

Granted, this was in 1969-72. :smileytongue:

Re: Shell Gas Card

I don't even want to talk to you people.  Its still 4.29/gal at my corner gas station (Tesoro) in Fairbanks, AK.  What really aggrevates me is that there is a refinery 20 miles away.  BS I tell you.

Where in WA was this mythical $2.79?

I bough my little Kia Spectra in 2002 and gas was $1.39 then.  I loved it.  When I was a teenager in the mid 90's, it averaged 0.89 - 0.99 if I remember right.

I do believe that someone picked up a thread from August 2007! :smileyvery-happy:

Yeah, I thought it was new too, until I noticed that gas @ $2.79/gallon was considered higher than the other stations.
