I'm a member of NFCU and could possibly qualify for there rewards cards.

Any thoughts on them?

IMO, they will be more likely to approve you than Amex would.

Apped NFCU cash Rewards this afternoon.

Just checked my account and it's "Review in process".

Thought I would of had an answer by now.

The suspense is killing me!!!

GL, mine did that. It took about 48 hours for the answer. You may call and ask to send in your bank statements and check stubs if your income is good. They use that in setting your CL

I have DP and online banking with them so they should have everything they need.

It's killing me not knowing though.

Re: Shooting for a Zync

Just checked my NFCU account.

The app says still in review, but the strange thing is there is a cashRewards Visa linked to my account. with a limit of $2500.

I'm guessing that this means I've been approved!!!

If that is indeed the case this would be my very first CC that has any kind of rewards or cash back.

I'm going to pay my non rewards visa down from $1098 (limit 2k) to $500 today and hopefully pay off the remaining off next month.

And when it is all paid it will be going in solitary confinement only to come out once a month for very minor purchases.

Re: Shooting for a Zync

I'm going to give it 2 months before I app for an Amex Green or Gold instead of the Zync. By then my score should be high enough to  qualify.

It may be high enough for the Green now (if not the gold, which to me isn't really worth the AF for everyone).
