Congrats on the SP approvals ILiveCredit. Just be careful opening up so many new accounts in a matter of days, your AAoA will take a hit.

Re: Shopping Cart Trick (Jcrew, Preapproved!)

Quick question, are these just "pop up" charge cards / credit cards that will pop up after you apply for a card somewhere else?

@iLiveCredit

Congrats on our approval but as Epcot mentioned be careful not only is your AAOA lowered but opening multiple cards with the same CG may also cause AA.

GE, for instance will cancel all CC if too many are opened at once.

Re: Shopping Cart Trick (Jcrew, Preapproved!)

THey do not like me! I had the pre-approval for VS, but then once I accepted they gave me the 10 day notice.  Could it be because I had 4 accounts opened with GE 4 months ago?  I was so sad faced. :smileymad:

That's the first time I've heard of that happening.

Re: Shopping Cart Trick (Jcrew, Preapproved!)

Should I call them?  It came up preapproved I selected yes then put in my birthday and last four of my ssn, then selected submit.  It then went to the 10 day message. Sigh..Is there a limit on how many GE cards within a select timeframe.

The same thing happened to me last year. I didn't call, but I had my new card in the mail in about 14 days. Only thing I can think of is perhaps the address I put in didn't exactly match the address on my CB. Say: "Avenue" instead of "Ave".  Hope you get it!

Victoria!s Secret is not GE. They are backed by Comenity.
