Re: Shopping Cart Trick??

Fingerhut is not Comenity, Fingerhut is WebBank. Fingerhut is a hard pull.

Re: Shopping Cart Trick??

Once you start, they do get addicting.

I have:

Avenue: $500

Express: $1000

J.Crew: $650

KingSize: $250

BrylaneHome: $350

Victoria's Secret: $500

I ended up with 6 accounts...I only use 2 or 3 regularly and tossed the rest in a drawer. I don't mind having them though...at least I know I'll have at least 4 accounts reporting zero every month...lol.

Once you get in with one, it does seem easier to get others.

I haven't tried yet.  I am just now finding out about this.  I was asked to apply for a Maurices card during a shopping trip in-store last week and was approved.   That card gave me a 22pt score boost.  So I was thinking if other cards were soft pulls and could give a pump I might try.  It seems like people have a bunch of these store cards in this thread.  I only have 2cc so I'm not sure I want 10 store cards.  Haha!

No guarantee, but I couldn't get the Peebles (Stage Stores) to pop-up, and I was in a store, offered a discount whether approved or not, and went for it.

When I looked at my report, they classified it as "Account Review" (AR) so it doesn't trigger as an Inquiry.  Obviously, YMMV.

I was going to garden... Honest!

Re: Shopping Cart Trick??

I'm also having trouble getting pre-approved pop ups to pull. Any advice? I have a VS card with Comenity already. I want either a Banana Republic or Ann Taylor Loft card. CapOne just doubled my CL without me asking. I tried it with Loft tonight and also with Express but had no luck.

In my Wallet CapOne Cash Back $3000, Apple FCU $1000 Victoria Secret $500, CapOne Journey $1000, Amazon.com $800
