Any idea why this would be? I've tried numerous times for the shopping trick and just checked my reports and see no soft inquiries for any comenity stores that do the trick.
Either your billing or profile address doesn't match the CRA record of you, or they did a soft pull on a previous visit and decided you didn't meet the criteria. It may be further down in your SPs and didn't happen today. Also, Comenity doesn't pull SP on just one CRA. I've seen them SP on all three of mine.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants. To find out I was opted out the whole time. I don't think so because I got something from B of A in the mail one day recently and applied for it and was approved. Would it matter if that's my normal bank? Would they be able to send me that if I was opted out?
Which CRA are you looking on exactly?

I believe anyone you have an existing relationship with can still contact you.
Based on this thread, I'd say stay away from any tricks and apps.
