I was just shot down by the Bank of America Recon line. Does anyone have experience with calling back and trying again. I know it couldn't hurt and worse case they'll just say no again, but have any of you had success with trying again?
Thanks for any advice.
I've never had to call and do a recon with them so I don't know but I don't think it would ever hurt to call and talk to a different person.

You might have success with someone else. What was the reason of denial?
Account age. I have 3 new cards in the last 6 months.
You can always try again and may get someone better.Last year I requested a credit limit increase from their FIA subsidiary and the person said no, letter will be in the mail, goodbye. When I got it it didn't really say anything and I tried again. The lady seemed very elated and raised the limit without question after about thirty seconds of looking at the report.
success! Took a bit of convincing (begging) but the lady that answered was very nice and after finally looking over the CR herself approved for 2500.

Just curious, which number did you use?

I tried 1-866-458-8804 which is a (Sr. Account Rep) Recon line. It was given to me by another lady after hours. I called that number first thing this morning, but was declined.
The 2nd number was 1-866-458-8805 and is actually a lower level (they normally transfer "screen" calls for Sr. Account reps - At least thats what I read in another post) but she was able to approve it for me. First she put me on hold and was going to transfer, but came back and said she couldn't transfer, but that she could go ahead and approve it herself.
Congrats!
