I have applied for a few cards in the past week, my goal was to get a high limit card:
Discover More: Approved $3000 CL
Walmart Discover Card: Approved $700 CL
Home Depot: Approved $1000 CL
Nationwide Visa- Waiting
Citi Freedom- Denied
Prior to applying I had 1 inquiry in August of this year for my car loan. I have 120K income, mortgage loan, also Amex One Card no CL but I use this card all the time and carry a balance from month to month. I also have a Capital Once $1000 CL, and a small card limit with HSBC $300. Ann Taylor $700, Chadwicks $470 and Macy's $300. Should I be done applying for cards....sometimes I just get the urge to apply for a card that I will most likely use. I have no balances on the cards except for Amex.
I'd cool your jets, because you're going to take some hits on your points because of your new accounts, AAoA, as well as the inquiries are adding up. I'd stay put for probably 6 months to a year so that these new inquiries age a bit and creditors don't get worried. Only reason I say that is because I'm a vicitm of new accounts and iquiries and I've gotten denied because of that recently. But Congrats on the new cards!
I figured the scores would go down some, really don't need anything new at the moment. I applied for home depot for some minor renovations to my house, and applied for Walmart because I shop there constantly and figured I should apply just for that reason alone. The Discover, Nationwide and Citi apps I was hoping for the large CL. Maybe I'll hold off for a couple years no big deal
BTW if anyone is interested .....
Walmart and Discover Pulls Equifax
Nationwide Pulls TransUnion
Citibank Pulls Experian

Welcome to the forums!
Can you tell us which state you live in? In the past, CITI pulled my EQ and TU reports, while Discover pulled my EX report. Where you live will determine which CRA is pulled by creditors.
5 inquiry in short periode and 3 more new account will triger AmEx
are you ready for FR?
wish everything ok
New York
Not sure I understand "will trigger AmEx?" am I ready for FR??
I'm an authorized user on the Amex to clarify and I'm not worried about fraud if that 's what FR means.... I have my credit monitored with daily alerts. I have not applied for a card in close to 4 years.
It means financial review. What is meant by "Trigger Amex" is that the routinelysoft pull its members and if they see a bunch of activity all at once, it could trigger them to do a financial review on you to make sure you're still a reasonable risk to continue having as a card holder. What they'll want is previous year tax information and what not.But since you're an authorized user on the Amex I don't think they'll stress much on you.
