Should I Close These Credit Cards?

So heres the deal, I have these credit cards that I barely use and would like to narrow it down to my Chase Freedom, and get a BoA card. I don't want my credit score to drop, and I plan on getting a secured BoA with 2k limit if I get denied. I currently have

Capital One - $300 limit

GapCard - $100 limit

Chase - $200 limit

Chase Freedom - $500 limit

Target- $300 limit

Lumber Liquidators - $5700 limit

So I would be closing CapitalOne, Gapcard, Lumber Liquidators, leaving Target, both Chase and the new BoA. What do you think?

in the absence of af or other fees, why not leave 'em alone?

Re: Should I Close These Credit Cards?

Keep the Cap 1 card open.  You are not going to like BOA.  So when you get tired of them, you will have your Cap 1 card to fall back on.  .

Re: Should I Close These Credit Cards?

I would not close anything that does not have an AF.

I would diversify my major CC TL's and not be over-reliant on Chase Bank. BofA is OK if you are going in fresh, Try the pre-app soft pull site and see what they offer you before app'ing. I would also strongly urge you to build up a relationship with a CU of your choice. In the long run you will be very happy for having done so.
