I thought I would pose this question to the group. I have been gardening for a while to better my chances for approval. My last apps were on 6/12. I got the AMEX SPG and the AMEX Surpass. Before the apps my score was 720's across the board. After applying, I got a letter saying my score for TU was 689 
. I signed up for Myfico after and for 6 months watched my scores go up to 701 for EQ and 704 for TU ( MYFICO). Chase pulls TU in my area and I have 8 inq in past 2 years from that CRA, ( All within 12 months; 4 of which are from shopping a car loan).
More info: I have a Utilization ratio of 41% ( we are paying it all off in march after taxes come in ) I currently have 7 cards

My question is, given my sub 700 score, can I get both the INK plus and the sapphire preferred?
I need help because I can't think about anything else but getting these cards!!!

Did you request a CLI at 61 days on any of your AMEX cards?
Your UTI might hold you back because its a bit high; if you get it down then you have a higher chance.
No, I have not asked for any CLI as I didn't want to rock the boat and get FR'ed because I really wanted the AMEX cards. I was truthful with my income but there doesn't seem to be a ryhme or reason for FR and really wanted those cards. I got denied for both on 4/12 and reapped 6/12. I was more of a newb then, I would have done things differently with what I know now. But anyway... No CLI for AMEX, I figured they may go up on their own. I ran 8XXX through Surpass and about 11,XXX through SPG over the six month period.
