Should I apply for Venture?

I am interested in applying for a Venture or QS (not 1). I did the pre-qual and it says I and pre-qualified for QS1 and Platinum. I had 2 QS1 (previously Platnium and PC to QS1) cards which I combined about 2 months ago for $2570 total. I am interested in getting bigger SL. 

Scores 

Barclaycard - 702

DCU - 666 (I know) 

Cap1 - 643

Walmart - 681 

1 baddie - a 30 day late from Matrix (for the monthly (annual) fee when I stopped using the card. It is now closed! 

What are the odds I would get approved for either one?

How old or recent is the late? Cap1 doesn't like late payments.

October 2014, so almost a year. I still can't believe I did that over a $12 fee!

Still kinda recent. Not sure how they'd feel about it. Do you know your actual FICO scores? Specifically EX and EQ. Walmart and Discover provide real FICO 08 TU scores, cap1 is a vantage score of some sort. Not sure on DCU.

FWIW - According to CCT my scores are:

EX - 727

TU - 726

EQ - 668

AAOA: 1.5 - 1.8 years

you're prequalified for their two lowest tier cards and you wanna app for two upper tier cards. i doubt you'll get approved especially since the venture is $5k minimum

combine your two QS1s and PC to QS... there you go

Yea your EQ is low, and they use EQ 04 for their upper tier cards if I'm not mistaken. Based on the fact that they're only prequalifying you for their lower cards, I'd guess your EQ 04 is just as low (if not lower) than your FICO 08 EQ that CCT is showing you. I would hold off for now.
