Should I call Citi too?

I all, I've been out of the credit loop for a few years and I'm working on getting it back.. I had nothing bad in my files but all my good credit is dropping off..

Recently (May 12) I got a card from Cap 1 with a whopping 500 CL. On 7/29 I applied fore a Discover More card. Chase Freedom and a Citi card.. Both told me they only needed to verify my ID

Discover asked for some more info and I called them.. Got a 1500 CL then today I called Chase and got the card with a 1000 CL..

When I called Citi's app line I got a TD but haven't talked to anyone there yet.. Would you all just go for it or what? I don't really need it but if it will

help me boost things up I will..

My CK score was 752 now 747 and CS was 791 not sure yet was it is now.. Started this in May with a 680

Re: Should I call Citi too?

In my experiance if not approved instantly with citi they take long to review and give you an answer. It took them 13 days for them to verify my info and approved me. Good luck

In my opinion, use Citi's online CLI every 6 month, enter what you want and take whatever it gives you without HP.

Re: Should I call Citi too?

Anyone know the best recon number to call? I called the AA number but it sounded like it was for business cards

Citi: 888-201-4523 (New App Approval Status)

Citi App Status: 800-645-7240, 800-288-4653, 800-750-7453

Citi: 800-444-2568 (Retention Dept.)

Citi: 800-763-9795 (App status?? They ask for your app #)

Citi Credit Bureau Dispute Fax: 866-713-5028

Re: Should I call Citi too?

Well, I got That letter today from Citi.. You know. the one that no one wants..lol

They said I got TD due to a BK.. They also said the BK included them in one way or another.

So right away I pulled my EQ to see if I had someone's information on my report.. Nope, nothing there about a BK..

After that I pulled up some old paperwork.. Found a file that had some old CR and part of my BK was also in there..

I didn't see anything listed for Citi but I did find out my BK was from 12/86.. Yup! you read it right 1986

On the plus side at the very bottom of the letter it said action required for recon.

So when my Citi reaches 6 months, is there a chance that they auto CLI? Or do I have to initiate? How does Citi work?

I don't think they denied you because you had a BK ever - they denied you because something that you had in BK either then or (most likely) NOW has some association with citi and thus you've been added to the blacklist even though you never hurt them.

If it had infor for a recon on it, I'd do it since obviously it appears you bk'd something that was bought by them long since your BK.
