Should I cancell my unused crdit cards ?

My sister is getting ready to cancell numerous cards from department stores ect. not used for probably 2-3 years. Is the time expired on these and automatically cancell or if she cancel's will that plumet her fico score ?  Also,she is getting a divorce so is it wise to cancell any credit cards at anytime she has herself ? Thank's for any help

If there are no AF, then there's no harm keeping them opened.
