Re: Should I close my $150 Annual Fee Credit Card?

Well, I am happy to conclude that I closed my Orchard Bank credit card Wednesday after one year of paying ridiculous fees to them. Tribute, I applied in 2007 got approved and when they displayed the AF, I close that card down quick.

I didn't even blink my eyes.............

I like my Hooter's MasterCard. Even though the APR is high. Since I had the card the APR went down 3%. That is what I like about Variable rate Credit Cards. They can be reduce at any time.

This is life changing.....Woman Sad

The only cards I like now are CCCU, and Hooter's MasterCard. I will let them grow with me. Capital One will be my builder card.

Is it worth paying appox. $228 to gain 10-15 points over the next year?  I have only had the card for approx. 11 months.  I got a Cap One card around the same time $59 AF.  I now have an Orchard Card (got it a week ago) $59 AF.

Sometimes, you have to start out with a $228 AF CC just to get yer foot in the door. But once in, you can generally start getting better offers.

CCs and women. There are women you'd date, but never marry. There are CCs you'd get, keep for a while, but would eventually replace.

Women and CCs are always a bad combination. Just ask former NY Gov. Spitzer.
