Agreed. This happened to my wife a few years back. She was approved for the Chase +1 student card and a couple months later, Amex AA'd her and closed the account. When this happened, Chase saw it and cut her CL in half. 

 

So, it is very much a YMMV scenario but I would be morew worried about AA from other lenders and then Chase following.
