Should I get Walmart card?

I want to get a walmart card since I shop there a lot and I want to build up my credit.

Currently I have 4 Credit Cards and I'm not using them a lot as I had high balance and i'm still paying them off. Here is the age history of the accounts and my scores with each bureau

Credit Bureau
EQ: 620s
TU: 620s
EX: 600s

Credit Card
Cap 1 since 1-2005: CL $1,000 BL $80
HSBC Since 10-2007: CL $1700 BL $1,200
DCU since 10-2007: CL $3000 BL $364
Juniper since 3-2008: CL $500 BL $0.00

Store Card
JB Robinson since 4-2008 CL $3,000 BL $0.00
Kay Jewelry since 4-2008 CL $3,000 BL $0.00

I know by opening an account with walmart would help my score now, but would I see any improvent in the next 12 months?

Re: Should I get Walmart card?

Walmart is a good store card to get especially if you shop there a lot. Don't apply online. Only apply at the register when you check out. Tell the cashier you want to get the card. They can approve you instantly and let you use your balance right then. I have been told it is easier to get approved this way because they don't pull the full credit report. Go for it.

Re: Should I get Walmart card?

Based on Walmarts historical opening limits, probably won't help uti much unless u luck up on the Discover. Depending on the rate on the C1 card, I'd use that one since C1 tends to reward usage.

They pulled TU on me. The WalMart card is issued by GEMB, who is a notorious TU puller.
Here we go again...

Nah, you shouldn't get a Wal-Mart card.
