Should I go on a spree?? Or maybe just one more....

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to start by thanking everybody on here, everyone has been so helpful and I won't be were I am credit wise without your help.

So the itch was too much to resist this morning and I app'd for BCP and was approved with a 5K limit.... that made me so happy.....

The original plan was to wait about another month, but since I just got approved do you think I have a good chance at getting another card, something like the Freedom?

STOP!

Wait until the AMEX reports the 5K CL otherwise you might not get good CL from the other lenders. After the AMEX is a couple of months old you could go on an app spree and get most anything you want.

Thank you, that's solid advice, plus I hope to be at 15k in 61days, we'll see.......

The itch is still there though, something is telling me that I may be able to get one more good prime card...... grrrrr.... sorry

Yeah, definitely wait until your amex 3x CLI reports. So roughly 91 days from when you first got your Amex.  That is the same exact thing that boosted my CL's way up.  Good luck and congrats.

Oh and definitely don't go for the Freedom to early.  Chase will likely give you a $2000 credit limit and it's a hard pull for every CLI.  I made this mistake and regret it.  I may transfer the CL from my Freedom to my Amazon and then reapply for the Freedom to get better terms.  Some day....

Thank you for the advice, I'll definately be waiting then.... it's just very hard to tell that little voice in my head to shut up sometimes.
