Should I hit the Chase Luv Button even though I just got the Card. I am tempted y'all!!

The card that I just recieved (Platinum Visa) has a 400 dollar limit.  I received it this past weekend and already have a balance of 121 dollars.  The CSR tried to up the limit for me by 1500 dollars upon activation, but I was denied.  Do you think I should try and see if they will hit me off with a CLI online??

I know it will be a hard hit.

since you were denied at activation, keep the balance low and wait 3 months

Sounds like a plan, Code.  I will ask them for a CLI in September.  I really want to get the CL above 1000k.  What is the limit on your card, if you dont mind me asking???

my first card was $200 and is still $200, my new card is $1000. Once I get the card, I'm going to ask about CLI again and verify best course of action. At that time I will also combine the cards.

I just got my B of A Student Visa with a $600 limit changed to a B of A World Points Signature Visa with a limit of $2000.

I have 2 cards with Cap One, called last night and got the limit on the first one doubled, my new one I just got last month so they wouldn't approve a CLI so I combined the card and will call back after my 3rd payments posts and get a CLI and then also get me credit steps when the following statement cuts. Current combined limit is $1300, I'm hoping that after I get the CLIs it will be at $2000

Smiley Very Happy If it wasn't for this board, I would never have gotten these cards and the limits.

Patience, young padawan.

Keep your balances low and your payments on time, then apply for a CLI early this fall.

Oh and I forgot to mention that before I attempted anything with the cards mentioned above, I went little app crazy the week before and applied for like 20 cards. ok, i went overboard on the apps but i got approved for like 8 of them I think.

Chase, B of A, and Cap One are all aware of the amount of apps I put in and what I was approved for(I had a list with me when I called) and they were all ok with it

Code, how long did you wait in between app'ing for both of your cards?  I did not know that Chase gives out cards with such low limits.  I was shocked when I got mine.  It made me feel kind of subprimey.  Especially with the silly @#$ 19.9% APR thet hit me off with.  And it is variable.
